Esta postagem é dedicada a artistas noruegueses dos séculos 19 e 20 que  encantam com sua arte e que tiveram grande importância no mundo artístico dos países nórdicos, com reconhecimento no resto da Europa. Todas as pinturas estão expostas  no Nasjonalmuseet em Oslo.


This post is dedicated to Norwegian painters of the 19th  and 20th  centuries who had great importance in the artistic world of Nordic countries as well as throughout Europe.
All paintings are at the Nasjonalmuseet in Oslo.

Johan Christian Dahl

J.C.Dahl foi o primeiro artista norueguês a atingir fama internacional. Suas paisagens norueguesas refletem características típicas da natureza e da cultura do país.

J.C Dahl was the first Norwegian artist to achieve international fame. His Norwegian landscapes  conveyed typical features of nature and culture of the country.

O trabalho  de Lars Hertervig com motivos da costa norueguesa misturados com elementos fantásticos é considerado como um dos grandes momentos da arte norueguesa. No entanto,  L. Hertervig só teve reconhecimento em 1914 na Exibição do Jubileu em Kristiana (agora Oslo), 12 anos depois de sua morte.

Lars Hertervig work with semi-fantastical paintings with coastal landscape motives is considered as one of the peaks of Norwegian painting. However, his famous only came 12 years after his death at the  1914 Jubilee Exhibition in Kristiana (now Oslo).

Peder Balke

Peder Balke é conhecido por pintar paisagens de maneira romântica e dramática. Conhecido como o pintor da Aurora Boreal, ele deixou seu ofício em 1870. Só foi redescoberto para a Europa e América no século 20.

Peder Balke is a Norwegian Painter known by the way he painted the landscape in a romantic and dramatic manner.  Known as the painter of Northern lights, apparently he stopped painting in 1870. He was rediscovered in the 20th century.

Erik Theodor Werenskiold é um pintor norueguês conhecido por seus desenhos da Coleção do Folclore Nórdico, e por suas pinturas que retratam pastores no campo. Casado com a também pintoraSophie Marie Stoltenberg Thomesen, faleceu em 1938.

Erik Theodor Werenskiold is a Norwegian painter and illustrator known by his drawings of the collection of Norske Folkeeventyr and his paintings of peasants in the country. He was married to the painter Sophie Marie Stoltenberg Thomesen  and died in 1938.

Harald Sohlberg é considerado um dos maiores pintores de paisagens da história da arte norueguesa. Pintor neo-romântico, especializou-se em paisagens das Montanhas de Rondane  e a cidade de  Røros.

Harald Sohlberg  a  Neo-Romantic painter is considered one of the greatest master of landscape paintings in Norwegian art history, although not well known in the rest of the world.

Harriet Backer foi uma pintora norueguesa que conseguiu reconhecimento em sua época e foi uma pioneira entre artistas mulheres  tanto nos países nórdicos, quanto no resto da Europa.

Harriet Backer was a Norwegian painter who achieved recognition in her own time and was a pioneer among female artists not in the Nordic Countries and in Europe.
