Santiago de Compostela

Santiago de Compostela, caminho  de peregrinos desde  o século IX. 
Segundo a tradição medieval, foi o eremita Paio,alertado por luzes noturnas que se produziam no bosque de Libredão,  que descobriu os restos de Santiago Maior e de dois dos seus discípulos. 
Lugar de grande misticismo, Santiago ainda apresenta vestigios de suas origens celtas e romanas.


The 1000 year old pilgrimage to the shrine of St. James in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela is known in English as the Way of St. James and in Spanish as the Camino de Santiago. Over 100,000 pilgrims travel to the city each year from points all over Europe and other parts of the world. The city's Cathedral is the destination today, as it has been throughout history, of the important 9th century medieval pilgrimage route, the Way of St. James. In 1985 the city's Old Town was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site

Vancouver - Canada

Vancouver é  considerada uma das melhores cidades no mundo para se viver. Cidade litorânea localizada na Colúmbia Britânica, no Canadá, tem seu nome em homenagem ao  capitão britânico George Vancouver, que explorou a área nos idos de 1790. Pelo Tratado de Tordesilhas, de 1494, a costa Oeste do Canadá pertencia a Espanha. Mas foi com os ingleses que a cidade se desenvolveu.

Vancouver is considered one of the best cities in the world. Located by the sea on the East Coast of Canada, it once belonged to Spain by virtue of the Treaty of Tordesillas , 1494. But captain George Vancouver claimed  the place to the British and the city is named after him.
