July, summer, and the roaring city of Rome is still a spectacular city.
Every time we visit it, there is something else around the corner to see. But we can not start talking about Rome without mentioning three wonderful construction of the ancient world: First, and foremost, the Pantheon; second the Roman Forum and third the Muro Torto (askew wall)
The Pantheon ( Temple of all gods) was commissioned by Marcus Agrippa during the reign of Augustus (27 BC - 14 AD) and completed by Emperor Hadrian. It is now a church.
The Forum , the important commercial and political center of Rome for centuries, and
the Muro Torto built in the end of the Republican Era (509BC to 27 BC) . It is located behind the Pincian hill and cuts through the Villa Borghese. Legend says that the ghost of Emperor Nero still walks through it.
Verão em Julho em Roma, sempre uma cidade espetacular. Toda a vez que a visitamos, sempre há algo para se ver em suas esquinas. Mas é impossível começar a falar sobre Roma sem três construções do mundo antigo: O Panteão, o Fórum Romano e o Muro Torto.
O Panteão (templo de todos os deuses) foi encomendado por Marcus Agrippa, durante o reino de Augusto (27a.C - 14 a.C) e finalizado pelo Imperador Adriano.
O Fórum Romano , uma praça retangular , principal centro comercial da Roma Imperial. Foi durante séculos o centro da vida pública romana. Nele, se podem ver as ruínas do Templo de Castor e Pólux, Templo Romulano, Templo de Saturno, Templo de Vênus, Basílica Emília e Basílica Júlia , entre outras.
O Muro Torto, construído na Era Republicana (509 a.C - 27 a. C) que corta a Vila Borghese. A lenda diz que o fantasma do Imperador Nero anda por ele.
